Rep Alcos Advocates for Additional Parks and Recs Facilities

Representative Alcos is currently advocating for various properties in the Kalaeloa area of District 41 to be turned over from the Department of the Navy back to the City and County of Honolulu. One of the properties is in discussion to designate a portion for a motorsports public track which will hopefully bring back hobbies enjoyed at the Hawaii Raceway Park back in the 1970's and 1980's. The positive aspects of having this venue available to the public like this is the opportunity for our keiki and young adults to develop STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) skills which can be used as a gateway towards prosperous careers. We are counting on Representative Alcos' persistence to make this hope a reality.
